  • About The Role

  • Job Purpose

    Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Events the role is designed to deliver creative multi-channel content plans and campaigns across all digital channels to accelerate brand awareness, lead generation and all commercial projects helping to drive growth. The role will require the individual to have an inherent ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks, projects and change in a fast-moving environment and the ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholder relationships. Working closely with the Head of Marketing and Events the individual will be adept in the creation of targeted marketing content using a CRM and market insights to assist business development in their commercial activity.

    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

    Content Marketing

    • To work with the Marketing and Communications Manager and Marketing Campaign Lead to translate and convert content into marketable assets that support brand profile and bring stories to life.
    • Lead on AFG’s content marketing strategy (social media & website).
    • Develop and execute content plans and manage paid advertising.
    • Capture monthly social media and website analytics to optimise and refine our efforts.
    • Organise and oversee briefs for any external digital agencies.
    • Use the CMS to make updates and edits to content and visuals on AFG’s website in accordance with SEO best practice and AFG brand guidelines.
    • Coordinate AFG’s E-shot campaigns, targeting key customer segments with engaging content in a timely manner.
    • Oversee and motivate internal, and where appropriate external, ‘champions’ and ‘influencers’ for the organisation to develop significant stories into marketable assets.
    • Explore and develop new marketing initiatives for AFG including texts, podcast, radio and webinars. Support the set up and organisation of virtual events, both internally and externally.
     
    Commercial / Relationship Marketing
    • Set up and oversee the management of stakeholder data within the CRM system, ensuring this data is utilised effectively for targeted marketing purposes.
    • Work with the marketing with key stakeholders and prospects.
    • Align AFG’s Marketing activity with Business Development activity to facilitate sales enablement and drive an increase in new and recurring business.
    • Business Development team to enhance growth opportunity through effective relationship Market Intelligence
    • Coordinate annual survey projects for People We Support | Patients | Friends & Family | Customers. Utilise the insights retrieved to inform effective marketing activity.
    Brand Management
    • Oversee and manage AFG branding, ensuring that brand guidelines and templates are applied effectively across all marketing materials.

      Person Specification - Essential Requirements
    Skills and Knowledge
    • A strong comprehension of digital marketing principles and practices.
    • A good understanding of WordPress and CMS website management.
    • Good written SEO communication skills and the ability to write for a range of audiences.
    • A strong understanding of different website and email user journeys, with the ability to coordinate and distribute targeted emails as part of campaigns.
    • Skilled in application of email marketing tools such as Mailchimp or similar.
    • A strong understanding of branding fundamentals and ability to update marketing materials as required.
    • Working knowledge of how to create, edit and manage SharePoint sites.
    • Good research skills and the ability to analyse and present data and information.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a range of internal and external people and agencies.
    • Ability to work independently or part of a team, taking responsibility for key tasks and ensuring they are delivered on time.
    • A commitment to personal development, actively seeking out opportunities to expand your knowledge and skillset, implementing what you have learned in your daily role.

    Experience
    • At least two years experience working in marketing and communications
    • Experience of video editing and creating engaging multimedia content for web and social media using tools such as Canva and CapCut.
    • Experience of working with market intelligence platforms such as Tussell.
    • Experience coordinating survey projects to retrieve market insights from key stakeholders.
    • Experience developing briefing and request processes to manage workflow.
    • Implement paid for social media activities and capturing analytics through regular reporting.
      Working cross functionally with internal services as well as externally with partners, sponsors, and influencers/champions.
    Qualifications and Training
    • Marketing Degree or equivalent business degree
    • Digital Marketing Qualification or Training Course
    • Digital Design Qualification or Training Course
